We have been told that the Prophet (ﷺ) was born on the 12th of Rabbi al Awwal, and this is the commonly known date. Yet the fact of the matter is that our early historical textbooks mentioned a number of dates, and there is no unanimous agreed-upon decision regarding the dates of the Prophets' (ﷺ) birth.
